W. Judd Peak
Senior Associate
Frost Brown Todd LLCSince beginning his practice of law, Mr. Peak has represented management in all areas of labor and employment law. Mr. Peak concentrates a particular emphasis on employment litigation and claims prevention. He represents employers in both federal and state courts, as well as administrative matters and arbitrations. Mr. Peak has represented employers in administrative hearings, numerous trials, and on appeals in Tennessee and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also authored briefs submitted to the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Peak has handled employer cases involving employment discrimination, wage and hour collective actions, unfair business practice claims (including covenants not to compete and trade secret disputes), Americans with Disabilities Act claims, employee benefits, FMLA litigation, and workers’ compensation. Mr. Peak has counseled clients on preventative law strategies, workplace harassment issues, and issues related to the use of technology in the workplace.
Mr. Peak routinely lectures on employment law issues to human resources and industrial relations executives. He has further authored several articles on labor and employment law matters, and serves as a Contributing Editor to The Developing Labor Law®.
Elizabeth L. Gross
Human Resource Advantage, LLCElizabeth L. Gross brings an effective combination of diverse Human Resource management experience and solid professional credentials with a strong focus on bottom-line results. Her 20 plus years of work experience spans both the private and public business sectors in healthcare/human services, high tech, telecommunications, education and utilities. She has worked for and with modest start-ups and large multi-state and multi-national companies, understanding their unique Human Resource needs. Ms Gross caps off her extensive hands-on experience with an undergraduate degree in economics, a graduate degree in industrial relations, and a lifetime certification as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR).
For seven years Ms Gross owned and managed Resource Connections, providing Human Resource management consulting and on-site project support for a diverse client base. Major projects included financial and Human Resource software implementations with customized training; Human Resource field/corporate consulting on union organizing campaigns, performance management, and effective Human Resource practices; recruiting programs; and piloting an innovative management structure for a private education facility.
Ms Gross has been an active member of business professional organizations, holding various state and local offices, including local president, for BPW, a national professional business woman’s organization.
